GA4 & ecommerce tracking audit

The audit that tells you which numbers to trust.

5 business days. I go through your tracking stack and tell you what’s broken, what it’s costing you, and what to fix first. You walk away with a prioritized list your team can execute.

5 business days · €1,500 fixed

You can feel something’s off in the numbers

GA4 says one thing. Your store platform says another. The paid teams swear their ROAS is real. The board wants to know which channels are actually paying back — and you can’t give a confident answer, because the data underneath the question is a mess.

Maybe your tracking was set up three years ago and nobody’s touched it since. Maybe an agency built it and you’ve never been sure it was right. Or iOS quietly killed half your attribution and you don’t know how much.

You don’t need another strategy deck. You need to know which of your numbers are real before you spend another quarter making budget decisions on top of them.

What it is

A senior analyst going through your tracking the way an in-house team would — if you had one.

I spend 5 business days inside your GA4, GTM, server-side container, CAPI integrations, and consent setup. Finding what’s broken, ranking it by what it’s costing you the most, and writing it up so your team can act on it.
The output isn’t a slide deck. It’s a working document.

Who it's for / Who it's not for

RIGHT FIT:

  • €1M+ online revenue
  • GA4 and GTM already running, even badly
  • You’re the CMO, Head of Ecom, or analytics owner
  • You suspect your numbers but can’t pinpoint what’s wrong
  • You want a working document, not a deck
  • You have a team (yours or mine) ready to execute

WRONG FIT:

  • Pre-revenue or under €1M
  • You haven’t installed tracking yet
  • A junior marketer without buying authority
  • You want strategy, not data fixes
  • You want a slide deck
  • You’re not willing to scope implementation as a separate step

What I find

A short version of what shows up in most audits I run:
  • Where your GA4 numbers stop matching your ecommerce platform – and which one is actually right.
  • Where Meta is being told every purchase twice – and how much your ROAS has been inflated as a result.
  • Where consent denials are silently dropping a third of your data – and nobody on the team knew.
  • Where your server-side container is firing events that never made it to GA4 – or worse, firing events that GA4 is counting as real conversions when they aren’t.
  • Where the attribution model your team has been making decisions on hasn’t matched reality in two years – and every channel call you’ve made since was built on it.
  • Where event taxonomy gaps are making your funnel reports unreadable – and your team is filling in the gaps with guesses.
  • Where Shopify, Meta, Google Ads, and GA4 each tell different stories about the same purchase – and which version your CFO should believe.

Every audit is different. Some teams have three of these problems. Some have all seven plus things I’ve never seen before. The audit tells you exactly which ones you have.

What you walk away with

Sample deliverable — REDACTED
  • A prioritized fix list. Every issue found, ranked by severity (critical / high / medium / low), with effort estimate and recommended owner: your team, your dev, your agency, or me.
  • A one-page executive summary. For the CMO, CEO, or board member who needs the headline, not the technical detail.
  • A 30-minute walkthrough. I take you and your team through the findings live, answer questions, and make sure the fix list is actually actionable.
  • A clear next move. Whether that’s your team executing the fixes, your agency, me, or a deeper project to answer the commercial questions your now-clean data raises.

Common questions

How much access do you need?

Admin on GA4, edit access on GTM (web and server containers if you have one), read access on your ad platforms. We confirm exactly what’s needed on the kickoff call.

What if you don't find anything?

I always find something. In 10+ years of auditing tracking setups, I’ve never opened a GA4 property that was 100% correct. If your setup is in unusually good shape, the fix list will be short and the audit will surface optimization opportunities instead. You still get the executive summary and the walkthrough.

Do you implement the fixes too?

Not as part of the audit — the audit is diagnosis, not implementation. Most teams execute the fix list with their internal dev team or agency. If you want me to handle implementation, we scope that after delivery as a separate engagement.

What if my GA4 is set up by an agency?

That’s common and not a problem. I’ll need the agency to grant access, or you can grant it on their behalf. The audit will tell you, factually, whether their setup is solid or needs work. I don’t have a relationship with any agency — my findings are independent.

What does payment look like?

50% on SOW signature, 50% on delivery. Bank transfer or Stripe Invoice link. EU VAT handled correctly. NDA available on request.

Stop guessing whether your data is right.

5 business days. €1,500. A prioritized fix list your team can act on Monday morning.
